Stitch Maker — le convertisseur

Reducing several million shades to the few hundred threads actually sold is a problem of perception, not arithmetic: comparing colours in RGB turns faces green.

A canonical JSON pattern — grid, palette, symbols — the single source behind the preview, the printable file and progress tracking
PDF pattern laid out to the conventions Pattern Keeper expects, a format reverse-engineered and documented
Cost announced before starting: derived from the requested size and colour count, reserved, then debited under a lock so it can never be charged twice
Conversion handled outside the request, with credits refunded automatically on failure
