A page selling a chart generator has no business showing a stock photo. The hero pattern is produced on the same principle as the product itself.

- Generator in Python: the pattern is described as a character map, and the 195 stitches are written by the script rather than by hand
- Palette taken from real DMC references, which also serve as the accent colours of the whole page
- Stitches appearing outwards from the centre, timed at generation: no animation library to load
- A static page of a few dozen kilobytes, with no external dependency and no tracker
- Published on its own subdomain, alongside the converter and the store

The engine: a photo goes in, a cross-stitch chart comes out — DMC thread palette, symbols and a printable pattern. This is where all the colour work happens.
